Future Oak Farm Volunteer Day
Saturday 27th June 11am to 2pm
Near Church Hill, Co. Donegal
Join us for a hands-on day at Future Oak Farm as we move our cattle to fresh grazing. This will be a 5km walk to upland summer grazing in the Derryveagh Hills.
Meeting point
We will meet at 11am at one part of the farm. From there, we will carpool to leave some vehicles at the end point before returning to meet the herd and begin the walk. Full details and Eircode will be shared by email after sign-up.
This is real farm work, done calmly and deliberately, the way we farm here in Donegal. As we move, you will see how planned grazing supports soil health, biodiversity and animal welfare in practice.
You will experience
• A working cattle drive across the landscape
• Regenerative farming in action
• The connection between livestock, soil and habitat
• Time outdoors with good people and purpose
Important
This is Donegal. Please wear sturdy footwear and proper outdoor clothing. Waterproofs are strongly recommended, even if the forecast looks kind.
No previous experience is needed, just a willingness to get involved.
Tea and refreshments will be provided afterwards.
If you have ever wanted to understand how grazing can restore land rather than deplete it, this is a simple and practical way to see it for yourself.
We look forward to welcoming you.
