Why are we gathering?

We want to move from a place of talking about the philosophical aspects of new ways of working to doing it. From theorizing about it to practicing it, to embracing it, experimenting, tweaking. We want the power of perspectives from around the world, from different industries, and different functions to learn and build shared ideas from and with one another. Let's gather to show the power, potential, and beauty of opening a space with very few restrictions to truly capture the wisdom of everyone present.

We welcome folks who are curious about what the future of work looks like. Maybe you are already connected to these communities and practices:

How are we going to do this? What’s our container?

The 24-hour event consists of 5 four and a half hour circles. For 2022 we will have a bilingual circle (Spanish/English) and experiment with supporting multiple languages in our first circle. Stay tuned on how we plan to do support language inclusion.

We will be using Open Space for our virtual dialogue. Open Space is a loose structure that is powered by five principles and one law:

The Five Principles

• Whoever comes are the right people.
• Wherever it happens is the right place.
• Whenever it starts is the right time.
• Whenever it’s over, it’s over.
• Whatever happens, is the only thing that could have.

The Law of Personal Mobility

Pay-What-You-Can tickets are available to support an equitable and globally inclusive event. They are sponsored by attendee donations and financial sponsors.

There are no refunds but transfers are accepted. This is a not-for-profit event. Ticket sales and sponsorship cover event expenses and scholarships for this to be an inclusive worldwide unconference.
