Join FWAG SW and our hosts, Jason and Amelia Greenway as we present them with the John Whetman Devon Bronze Otter trophy and take a guided tour of the farm.

The Greenways farm organically over 1100 acres of tenanted land on the National Trusts Killerton Estate. In addition to their farming enterprises they offer educational and community visits and run a holiday club for local children.

The farm tour will include;

  • A tractor/trailer tour to see the pedigree Highland cattle and an overview of the farm business from Jason and Amelia. Their fold of 175 Highland cattle are the backbone of their growing business, supplying meat boxes for local customers as well as carrying out valuable conservation grazing on the Killerton Estate.
  • Discussions around wetland habitats and species and natural flood management measures that have been put in place on the farm.
  • Future plans for the farm and the estate including adding more trees to the landscape, developing the agroforestry enterpise and setting up a self-service farm shop.

We’ll also be joined by Antony ‘AJ’ Bellamy, Wetland Specialist at FWAG SW and Tim Dafforn and Simon Bates from the National Trust, Killerton Estate.

Hot and cold drinks and a pasty lunch will be provided.

Please advise of any dietary or access requirements when booking.

Location: W3W: ///retailing.buying.inspector

Please bring appropriate clothing and footwear for the farm tour, some of which will be on foot over rough, uneven ground.
