Join FWAG SW to learn how you can support Cirl Buntings and other farmland birds on your farm. After a catastrophic decline in numbers across the country, Cirl Buntings were successfully reintroduced to The Roseland peninsula between 2006 and 2011. Now, we are working with farmers and landowners to record how the population is faring, how far they have expanded, and what support is available to both birds and land managers to further aid their recovery.

After lunch, we will take a walk to a nearby farm to see this recovery in action and discuss with the farmer how they have been able to support Cirl Buntings over the years since their reintroduction. The road is tarmacked but is still a working farm so please bring sensible footwear and clothes.

This project is able to provide free 1:1 advice to farmers and landowners by FWAG SW, bird surveys and the use of acoustic monitoring devices to record birds on your farm so please do enquire to sign up.

Funding has been provided by Natural England's Enabling Nature Recovery Budget and is a part of the Fal Rivers to Reef partnership.

This is a free event but booking is required.

Free parking is available at the hall.
