Join us for this month's Gateway to Translation (G2T), the first webinar of 2025, on Thursday 30th January at 2pm. Guest speaker, David Warwick, Director at eg technology Ltd, will deliver a talk on the topic of "Medical devices from initial idea to the developing a prototype: practical considerations".
David is a director at eg technology with extensive experience in the compilation of technical files and regulatory requirements for software development of CE marked and FDA approved medical devices. His expertise includes the application of standards, design specifications and testing at all stages of the product development cycle. David has an overall responsibility for the management of new and existing client accounts. He works closely with the senior management team to evaluate business operations and strategy for the consistent business development and growth of eg.
David has been with eg technology since 2008 and was appointed as a director of the company in 2019. Prior to this, David forged a career in software engineering and product development in the MedTech and BioTech sectors. He holds an MBA and Diploma in Economics from the Open University following his degree in Computer System Engineering from the University of Warwick.
The “Gateway to Translation” (G2T) webinar series is a joint initiative between the University of Cambridge (Cambridge Academy of Therapeutic Sciences, CATS) and the University of Manchester (Translation Manchester). The aim of these monthly webinars is to stimulate the translation of research into the clinics by educating academics about trends, technologies and research in the commercial sphere and by facilitating collaborations between academia and the medtech, biotech and pharma industry sectors.
