Tony Wentersdorf
Tony Wentersdorf is a German-born musician, storyteller, and writer who has lived in Minneapolis since 1974. Born in Marburg, Germany, he emigrated to the U.S. at age nine, growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio, before spending time in France, Switzerland, and his hometown of Marburg and moving to Minneapolis. His first memoir, Born in the Year Zero, chronicles his childhood in Germany, his immigration to the U.S., and his formative years in Cincinnati. In addition to music and storytelling, he has written poetry, short stories, and three memoirs. His work reflects his deep connection to Germany, creative pursuits, and journey through mental health challenges. Presentation begins at 10 a.m.
