The film deals with the relationship between son and father and the importance of the family in life. The film also pays tribute to yesteryear Kannada superstar Dr. Rajkumar whose son Puneeth plays the lead in the film.

Siddharth aka Appu, is the ideal non-resident Indian who takes care of the business of his father and fights for the pride of his home country in a foreign country (Australia). He falls in love with Nandini, a salsa teacher, and everything seems to be going well. But a tragedy brings him back to his roots in India and he reveals a problem related to his family that he decides to put right. The film is basically a family_drama_action_entertainer highlighting the values of the joint family system.
