GFS is delighted to welcome you to our new venue, the Galway Arts Centre at Nun's Island Theatre, for an 8 week consecutive run. Some on-street parking is available, in addition to two nearby car parks.

Screening times are Sundays  8pm, Mondays 6:30pm (with the exception of March 9, 16, 23rd, when the screening will be 7.30pm)

THE BALLAD OF WALLIS ISLAND follows folk musician Herb McGwyer, who made his name in a duo with former creative and romantic partner Nell Mortimer. Now a struggling solo artist, Herb accepts a lucrative offer from eccentric lottery winner Charles Heath to perform a private gig on a remote island. But Charles has also invited Nell to play -forcing Herb into an unexpected reunion.

Please note that GFS is required to apply a commission on all tickets purchased by card to cover the transaction fees charged by the sales platform. However, tickets purchased with cash at the venue are not subject to this commission. Tickets paid by card at the venue will still incur the applicable fee.
