GFS: BETTER DAYS

GFS is delighted to welcome you to our new venue, the Galway Arts Centre at Nun's Island Theatre, for an 8 week consecutive run. Some on-street parking is available, in addition to two nearby car parks.

Screening times are Sunday 5pm and 8pm, Monday 7:30pm (not 6:30!)

Suzanne, a widowed mother of three still grieving for her husband, has turned to alcohol to ease her pain, but is having an increasingly tough time maintaining a functioning façade. Following an accident on the way to school, social services give Suzanne no choice: if she wants to keep custody of her children, she must go into rehab.

Suzanne struggles with the initial detox, but then starts to find strength in the people around her. Determined to get her children back, Suzanne finally makes a choice and joins forces with the other women, as they slowly and sometimes painfully learn to adapt to life without booze. BETTER DAYS is an uplifting and moving story of resilience, friendship and hope.
