Four distant cousins, all descendants of a woman called Adèle Meunier, are brought together in Normandy by the unexpected inheritance of their ancestor’s house. They must clean out the property, which has been abandoned since 1944. As they sift through items including old photos and letters, they imagine Adèle’s life as she moves to a vibrant Paris of 1895.
