Single Class: Throw & Reclaim is an informal 2-hour clay class for a small group of 10 participants to experience the joy of the pottery wheel. Learn how to throw on the wheel or refine your skills guided by an artist-instructor in a professional ceramics studio. This class emphasizes the process and its smaller size allows for more focused instruction. There is no option to fire your work. All clay is reclaimed at the end of the class.
This class is open to ages 14+. Each participant under 18 is required to be accompanied by an adult with a ticket.
This class includes access to earthenware clay, and pottery tools.
Before You Book:
- Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, for any reason. We are a small team and cannot accommodate refund or transfer requests. Please doublecheck the date before purchasing.
- The pottery wheel can pose a serious risk to people with pacemakers. Please talk to your doctor before booking a wheel ticket.Only works from a previous Single Class can be glazed in this class
- To glaze your piece made in this class, just book a glazing ticket in the appropriate Single class within two months of this class. Glazing happens after the first firing, so it's a two-visit process
- By signing up, you agree to follow the Museum's Code of Conduct and Studio Policy.
