G6.2 Garstang Heritage and Typography Tour with the Artist 🐾

Walking tour around Garstang’s historic town centre, see the recently restored Blue Plaques and hear from the artist, Lisa Wigham, who restored them. Lisa also produced new murals for the town and will share inspiration for these she found in existing examples of artisan made signs and stone carvings, in various nooks and crannies and weinds on the towns high street. Along the way you will also here some great local heritage stories. So come along a join us for this free short heritage and arts work.

Distance approximately 1 mile Grade easy Ascent n/a

This walk is graded ‘Easy’ meaning you can expect relatively level ground, fields, lanes and tracks, possibly with some gentle slopes, stiles and/or livestock.

Booking is essential - Please note that bookings will close at 1pm the day before the event to allow our rangers sufficient preparation time. Attendance on the day of the event will not be permitted

Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

• Stout footwear - flip flop style footwear not allowed
• A drink
• A packed lunch or snack
• Your dog if you have one (lead and pick up bags)
• Sunscreen & insect repellent, if required

A ranger /walk leader will be at the start of an activity whatever the weather. In extreme conditions, the leader of the group will take a decision on the day whether or not cancel.
