Permission to Rest: Sustainable Rhythms for How We Live + Work

Thu Jul 9, 2026 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM Beck Venture Center, 1700 Washington Ave, Golden, CO 80401

The highest-performing leaders are not the ones who rest the least. They're the ones who know how to rest best.

This two-part interactive workshop series is designed specifically for women leaders navigating the unique pressures of leading teams while managing the cultural and internal forces that make rest feel like a luxury and a weakness. Together, we'll move from personal insight to organizational impact.

Session 1: Rest Starts With You (July 9th from 4-5:30p)

Before you can champion rest for your team, you have to give yourself permission first.

In this opening session, explore what rest means for you, why it always seems to slip down the priority list, and how to make it stick through simple, intentional practices. Drawing on Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith's framework of seven rest types, you'll discover which kinds of rest you're missing most and design a personal rest practice that fits into your life at home and at work.

Session 2: Weaving Rest Into Your Organization (August 6th from 4-5:30p)

After diving into exploring what rest looks like for yourself, the opportunity for your team begins.

In this session, we'll zooms out from the personal to the organizational. As a leader, you have the influence and the responsibility to shape how your team works which includes means making rest a core value, not an afterthought.

Explore what it looks like to normalize rest in your team's culture with practical rituals that enable recovery and recharging.

Leave with a concrete plan to intentionally weave rest into your team's rhythms.

Who This Series Is For:

Women leaders who suspect that sustainable performance starts not with working harder, but with recovering smarter and want a community of peers to hold them accountable in doing so.

Whether you lead a team of two, twenty, or two-hundred, this series will meet you where you are and equip  you with practical tools and renewed conviction that rest isn't a retreat from leadership, it's part of the foundation.
