The Experience

We travel together by private coach from The Copacabana (Yumbo Centre) to Las Palmas. During the journey, your host will introduce the island, its history, and how Las Palmas developed as an important Atlantic port.

On arrival, we explore Vegueta, the oldest part of the city, on a guided walking tour. This area is known for its cobbled streets, colonial architecture, shaded plazas, and layered history. Along the way, we share stories of the island’s early inhabitants, Spanish conquest, trade routes, pirates, and the growth of modern Las Palmas.

The tour is informal and story-led, with time to stop, chat, take photos, and enjoy the atmosphere.

A traditional tapas lunch is included, offering a taste of local Canarian cuisine in a relaxed, social setting.

Before lunch, you’ll have free time to explore further — whether that’s visiting nearby sights, enjoying a drink in a historic square, browsing local shops, or simply soaking up the city vibe. Your host will be available with suggestions if you’d like them. After lunch our tour will continue. 

In the late afternoon, we return together by coach to Maspalomas, leaving you with plenty of time to enjoy the evening’s Winter Pride events.
