Join us on Saturday 14 October for Gaze Burvill's autumn 'Using Wood for Good' open day with guest speaker Dr Gabriel Hemery, Forest Scientist and Chief Executive of Sylva Foundation
We will be delighted to welcome you to our Flint Barn at Lodge Farm where we engage you in informative and pertinent conversation about using wood for good and making sustainable choices, the importance of proper management of the UK's woodlands and using locally sourced timber.
You will also tour our workshops where you will discover how we use state-of-the-art technology alongside the timeless skills of our master craftsmen to create our oak furniture and outdoor kitchens, with live steam bending demonstrations, followed by a light lunch served in our courtyard garden.
Tickets are £15 each or two for £25, with all proceeds being donated to Woodland Heritage and matched by Gaze Burvill. Woodland Heritage's vision is to have a UK more self-sufficient in timber grown in healthy, well-managed woodlands that benefit people and wildlife.

"Thoroughly enjoyable day, very informative and my husband, who doesn’t come to many of these events, was extremely impressed. The talks, the tour and the delicious nibbles and drinks were all very enjoyable. All perfectly organised." Anon
"This was my second visit to Gaze Burvill but just as worthwhile as the first. I learnt new things, heard new ideas and met great new people. If you can join one of these days you won't be disappointed, even if you have been before!" Alex Mowat
"My eyes were opened to the beauty of wood, the careful sourcing of wood and the design and skill that goes into producing such beautiful furniture at Gaze Burvill. The event was a chance to meet people who are passionate about what they do and their ethical journey in producing or using wood. I came away inspired and will definitely recommend to clients to buy furniture that will last the test of time and be made from sustainable sources." Karen Rogers
