Parent Workshop - ECHP

Join us for a relaxed and supportive session with Sarah Buckingham, Family Support and Activity Worker, to learn more about EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans) and what they could mean for your deaf or hard of hearing child.

Whether you are just starting to explore support options, have questions about the process, or have been told that your child does not need an EHCP, this session is a great opportunity to find out more. It is always useful to understand what support is available and what options you have as a parent.

This session is open to all parents and carers of deaf and hard of hearing children, and everyone is welcome. The session will be BSL interpreted and a Microsoft Teams link will be available for families who are unable to attend in person.

It is also a chance to meet and connect with other parents and carers across different age groups, share experiences, and build a supportive network with other families.

Following the workshop, we will be holding our Parent Steering Group, where parents and carers can share their ideas, feedback, and thoughts about the future of GDA’s Children, Young People and Families service. This is your opportunity to help shape the activities, support, and services we provide for deaf and hard of hearing children and their families.
