Zoo Field Nature Day
Zoo Field Nature Day is a celebration of the work that local volunteers have been helping with to improve this part of Central Park. We are repairing the earth by composting and growing food for people and wildlife.
Free activities for all ages and will include:
- Storytelling
- Nature activities including a butterfly count if the weather is good
- Creative crafts including lino printing (bring a teeshirt!)
- Games including the welly wanging - who can throw the welly the furthest!
- Guided tours and exploring Zoo Field by following the nature trail
There will be some refreshments available but do bring food an drinks to ensure you have what you need. Any food waste will feed our special Ridan food waste composter and you are welcome to bring extra from home.
Nearest toilets are at the Life Centre.
Please Note - we have regular volunteer days on the third Thursday of the month so do contact us if you are interested in helping us make this special place even more diverse and abundant!
