Get Out More is running a Forest School Level 1 accredited training course, taking place Tuesday - Thursday 6-8 February 2024
ITC Level 1 forest school training is an introduction to the forest school ethos. The Level 1 course introduces the Forest School Association’s Forest School Principles and how the approach can benefit the holistic development of children and young people. Learners will participate a range of basic woodland skills such as games, shleter building, fire lighting and tool work, enabling them to facilitate outdoor learning using different learner-centred processes while encouraging children’s social development, confidence and self-esteem.
This course is suitable for teaching staff and anyone working with children and young people. It is ideal for those people who are wanting to gain skills for working outdoors with individuals and groups, those who want to explore Forest Schools within their own setting or those who wish to support a trained Forest Schools practitioner.
Free places are available to eligible nurseries and parents from the Better Start Bradford area ONLY (Bowling and Barkerend, Bradford Moor and Little Horton). If you are eligible, please contact us for for details of how to access the free places.
This is a Kindling Training course regulated by ITC Awards and delivered by Get Out More CIC
