SEND Family Forest School sessions

Taking place in the beautiful woodland at Riddlesden St Mary's, our SEND family sessions will be a fun-filled, active play mix of hammocks, swings, den zones, creative nature-based activities and much, much more! Autumn is such an exciting time in the woods, providing a great opportunity for the children to let their imaginations run wild!

We welcome children with additional needs, such as Autism, ADHD, etc. Our practitioners have experience working with children with additional needs, and we find that these children often get a lot from Forest School. Attending as a family will provide the opportunity to explore the benefits of sensory-rich time together in nature.

Sessions run from 10:00am–12:30pm (Finishing at 12pm in November & December). Families are encouraged to bring snacks or a packed lunch and plenty to drink. Warm clothing may be required, as we will always aim to be outdoors in nature for the whole session. Full details of meeting place, what to bring etc are in the booking confirmation which will be sent to you via email.

Cost

Due to some recent funding, we are able to offer these sessions at £5 per family until the end of the year.  This includes up to 2x adults and 3x children (siblings of any age are welcome). This cost will be reviewed for 2027 as there is no guarantee the funding will continue.
