More details about the 1st Response course

​By attending this full day session plus completing the eLearning, you will then have completed the 1st response requirements and be able to act as a first aider within Girlguiding.

Guiding uniform should be worn but please remember this is an active course where you move around.

You will need to bring with you:

• Lunch
• Your own thermal mug (tea/coffee/hot chocolate will be provided)
• Notebook & pen

Please be aware that to complete the course, you will need to demonstrate CPR and the recovery position. We understand that this may be triggering if you have performed CPR in a real-world situation. However, we are unable to pass participants who cannot demonstrate these skills.

Please note: This course is available to Girlguiding Gloucestershire members only. Membership numbers will be checked and any out-of-county sign ups will have their space cancelled. There will be a £5 admin charge for this process. If you're a volunteer from outside Gloucestershire interested in attending, please drop us an email before booking on adultsupport@girlguidingglo.org.uk and we can confirm availability.
