Built in 1854 as Carmarthenshire Public Rooms, the building became The Lyric in 1918. The current auditorium was built in 1936, the décor inside could be described as ‘old-school glam’, and it has retained many of its original Victorian and Art Deco designs. Let's not forget that the Lyric sits on top of the tunnels that are said to lie beneath Carmarthen, Wales oldest town and possibly were a way a transporting criminals, judges and perhaps a King in a veil of secrecy!

Reported Paranormal Activity:

Staff have reported doors opening and being held open by an unseen force. Shadows are seen in the former projection room and an unknown guest sits in the auditorium awaiting the next performance.
