The audience watches the artists transform into the characters of the film (poet Vladimir Mayakovsky; the women that he loved and that left him; the friends that admired him and abandoned him; the ruthless "knights of the Revolution" that pronounced him their torch bearer). They reViVe V MAYAKOVSKY for the viewers, making them live through his love, creative and personal tragedy as their own.
