Guest Fishing
This ticket allows you to fish on Gilling West Fly Fishers waters on Gilling Beck when accompanied by a member of the club. You must abide by our rules as below:

Methods
Fishing is by rod and line using artificial flies with barbless hooks.
When fishing members must have a wading stick, landing net, suitable disgorging
tool and a priest.
Any recognised fly fishing technique may be employed.
No ground baiting.
No live bait, worms or prawns.
No spinning.
Catch and Release
No fish are to be taken from Gilling Beck. All fish must be safely returned.
Reports
All anglers are requested to submit a report after each visit (even if not fishing) using the form on our website: report form
The form is for recording catches but also general observations on the state of the river, wildlife, incidents etc.
Safety
All anglers are required to follow the safety guidelines and carry out their own risk assessments before fishing.
Everyone needs to ensure that they keep themselves safe from the effects of pollution and water borne diseases.
Conduct
Everyone is expected to follow the angling code of conduct.
Anglers must be polite and cordial to the farmers and to the general public at all times.
Consideration must be given to local people particularly when going out early morning or in the evening. No slamming doors or disturbance.
Anyone not upholding honourable conduct may be expelled from the club.
No tackle, line, weights, rubbish or litter to be left behind.
No picnics or barbecues.
