The Craft (30th Anniversary Immersive Film Screening)
Gather your coven, grab your spellbooks, dust off your witches hat
....and join Girl Gang Manchester this Halloween for a special 30th anniversary immersive screening of the iconic goth-girl classic The Craft!
Following the success of immersive screenings such as Bend It Like Beckham (Stretford Mall, 2024), Romy and Michele's High School Reunion (The Lowry as part of Week 53 Festival, 2018), Bridesmaids (53Two, 2017) and Mean Girls (Hope Mill, 2016), two times winners of 'Best Single Event' at the Film Society of the Year Awards, Girl Gang return with one of their legendary immersive film screenings!
This time we will be taking over Islington Mill on Halloween to celebrate the 30th Anniversary(!) of 90's cult classic The Craft. Starring Fauriza Balk and Neve Campbell the film follows four outcast teenage girls living in Los Angeles who turn to witchcraft to exact their revenge over their patriarchal high school enemies, to disasterous effects!
In true Girl Gang style you can expect to see a whole host of treats and tricks from:
- Interactive drop in workshops including Herbs and Potions tea blending workshop and Spell-writing, poems & spellbook decorating collaging and writing.
- Themed immersive witchy decor
- Site specific promenade performances - from our very own Witches of Eastwick!
- Academic introduction
- Collective spell casting
- Screening of cult classic The Craft (1996)
- Dressing up (think fancy dress with prizes for best and most niche film reference costume!)
- A Bar and Sweet Treats
- and Halloween Disco with our post-show party!
