Burns Night, but make it a gals night only 💌

After how much we LOVED our last gals-only ceilidh, we knew we had to do it all over again - and what better excuse than Burns Night yayayaya?!

We are getting the gals together for a proper Scottish night of live ceilidh music, dancing, good food, and a room full of lovely people who actually want to meet each other.

And, as always, coming solo is SO encouraged.

If you’ve ever looked at an event and thought “that looks so fun, but I’ve got nobody to go with” - this is exactly the kind of night we create events for.

You absolutely do not need to bring a pal.

Most of our attendees come completely on their own, and a ceilidh is honestly one of the easiest nights to do solo. You’ll be dancing in groups, swapping partners, getting the steps wrong together and somehow chatting to half the room without having to make a single awkward introduction.

By the end of the night, you’ll probably have acquired several new pals and at least one group chat hehe 😂

What to expect:

🎻 Live ceilidh band - with callers talking us through every dance, so absolutely no experience is needed
💃 Loads of ceilidh dancing - expect Strip the Willow, Gay Gordons and plenty of chaotic spinning around
👯‍♀️ A genuinely solo-friendly night - we’ll be there to make introductions and make sure nobody feels left out
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 All the Burns Night vibes - a big cosy Scottish celebration with the gals
🍴 Food included
💌 A room full of women looking to socialise, dance and meet new people

💌 Welcome buddies on arrival - we’ll have a few lovely Girls Collective ladies there to welcome you in, introduce you to other gals who have come solo, and help take away that first awkward “I don’t know anyone here” moment straight away.

Whether you ceilidh every other weekend, have never ceilidh dancing in your life, or genuinely haven't ceilidhed since primary school, you are very welcome. The band will explain the dances before we start, and nobody cares if you go the wrong way - that's half the fun.

Wear whatever makes you feel good, whether that's a tartan skirt, your favourite dress, jeans and trainers or full Burns Night glam. Tartan is very much encouraged but absolutely not compulsory.

🎻 Live ceilidh band: 7:45PM 
💃 Drinks, dancing & socialising afterwards
⏰ Finish: The official event will end at 10:30PM but you we have the space until 12AM so feel free to stick around with your new gal pals for a mini girls night out

• Mini pizza (vegetarian)
• Cheeseburger slider
• Sweet potato pakora (vegan & GF)
• Marshmallow, chocolate brownie & strawberry skewer

This is one of those nights where you can arrive by yourself knowing absolutely nobody and leave absolutely shattered from dancing with a camera roll full of blurry photos and a load of new pals.

💬 Event group chat

Once you book your ticket, you’ll receive a link to join the optional event WhatsApp group chat in your booking confirmation. It’s the perfect place to say hi before the night, see who else is coming solo, organise meeting up beforehand and keep in touch with your new gal pals afterwards 💌
