Carpentry & Joinery Home Improvement (evening - open to all)

Evening classes over a 6 week period. We cover the basics of woodworking skills and general carpentry tasks around the house. This class is led by professional tradespeople in a supportive environment and is aimed at those looking to pick up DIY skills to work on their own home or for those considering a career in the trades.

What we’ll cover:

• Health and safety
• Introduction to hand tools
• Using power tools safely
• Wall types and fixings
• Hanging a shelf
• Fitting laminate flooring
• Installing skirting boards
• Installing architraves
• Fitting a door handle, Lock & latch
• Basic kitchen fitting
• Installing base & wall units
• Cabinet hinges

This course will run every Tuesday evening for 6 weeks from 6pm - 9pm.

We understand that changes to plans happen, we’re a small not-for-profit organization and we rely on our classes being full. Please make sure you can attend the course you book onto.

Cancellation & change policy:

Cancellations up to 21 days before the course start date will be refunded the full amount, less fees. Cancellations after that will not be eligible for a refund unless you have purchased Refund Protection. Terms and conditions apply. 

You can change the date of your booking only up to 21 days before the start date of your course. You cannot make changes to your booking after that.
