Ohio Uncorked: A Grand River Valley Wine Tasting

Ohio wine? Absolutely. In the Grand River Valley, tucked along the southern shore of Lake Erie, the lake acts like a giant thermostat: it cools the vines in spring, warms them into the fall, and gives the grapes a long, slow season to build bright acidity and pure fruit. The soils are glacial leftovers from the last Ice Age, and you can taste that freshness in every glass.

I’ll guide you through the story behind each one: the lake, the rocks, and the winemakers who decided Ohio could stand next to the Finger Lakes and Germany.
