Glen Ewin Estate Open Day
There is only so much a photograph can tell you about a venue.
A room is judged by how it feels to stand in, and that is something no image will settle. On the evening of Friday 15 January the gates are open, both venues are dressed, and the estate is yours to see as it would be on the day.
Two venues, both set
Most venues are shown empty, in daylight, with a floor plan and a price list. This evening is the opposite.
The Pulpshed and the Gatehouse will each be dressed as a working example rather than presented as bare rooms. The scale of a table, the way a space fills, the difference between the two: all of it is easier to read in person than on a screen, and most couples know which of the two is theirs within a few minutes of standing in it.
An evening rather than an appointment
Arrive at any point between 5:30pm and 8:00pm. Nothing is timed and nothing is formal.
- Guided group tours run across the evening, through both venues
- Suppliers we work with will be on site, so the people who would work on your day are here to meet
- Live music through the evening
- Food and drinks available to purchase
An estate rather than a function room
Glen Ewin has stood here since 1843. Whatever you are planning, you would be planning it somewhere that has been receiving guests for a very long time, and that is felt more easily than it is described.
Who it is for
Couples planning a wedding, and anyone considering the estate for a celebration, a milestone or a corporate event. No enquiry is too early, and there is no obligation. Come to look, ask what you would like to ask, and leave knowing whether this is your kind of place.
Registering
Entry is free and no ticket is required. Registering helps us set the right number of tables, and it means we can send you the details closer to the date.
