Wednesday 30th August 2023
Held by Christian de Sousa
In the Old Quarry
@The Hearth
7.30pm - 9.30pm
with tea & nature space from 7 til start and after the dance til 10
You are warmly invited to participate in a very special dance at a disused quarry in the hills. There’s
a blue supermoon, the world is spinning – and I want to hold a space
for us to dance in nature. To really dance, together and for the Earth
and all its peoples.
A Sketch of the Evening
- Time to arrive as a group of dancers, to drink tea, infuse in music and ignite the dance in this special place of nature-culture.
- A moment checking in with simple movement teachings to help us embody and immerse as deeply as possible
- Opening a ritual space to dance,
be alive, get real and sweat our prayers. Dancing inside the earth and
rock, with the trees, peoples of the land and late-summer sky above, lit
by a full blue supermoon and stars. Dancing with the moment, from self
to community to world, dreaming into renewal, joy and ecstatic being for
all.
- Time to end in the quiet of the land; to give thanks and share a little together before closing space and making homeward journeys.
All dancers welcome
