Floating Garden Fourth Birthday Party

Four Years of the Floating Garden! 

This year we are celebrating four years of the Floating Garden with an afternoon of family friendly activities and craft, followed by an evening event with a bar and live musical performance. Join for some or for all, but let us know you're coming so we can plan for numbers!

In the afternoon, from 2-5 p.m. expect fun activities for all ages* including:

• Wildlife watching and nature exploration
• Arts and crafts
• Plant sale and seed giveaway

In the evening, from 6 - 9 p.m., we will open up a bar and have live performances to enjoy - our floating stage for rising voices.

• Live music and performances
• Botanical cocktails and refreshments

When booking tickets please select the relevant slot you plan to attend - you can select both if you plan to stick around all day!

*Please note that the Floating Garden is a wide beam barge and during public events we do not permit children under the age of 5 onto the upper decks of the boat for their own safety. They are welcome to enjoy activities in the interior classroom space or on the towpath.

About the Space and Accessibility

The Floating Garden is a barge moored along the Regents Canal near Coal Drops Yard with views of the surrounding area, it is mostly open air, so expect to be outdoors for the majority of the event and dress accordingly.  The barge is not yet completely wheelchair accessible - there is a ramp that gives access to the towpath, however there is one step required to get from the towpath to the barge and steps from the main deck area of the boat to the toilet. Please speak to the team if you have specific accessibility questions.

About Global Generation:

Global Generation is a youth environmental education charity with garden sites located throughout London. We offer activities such as urban food growing, supporting bees, carpentry, cooking, storytelling, creative writing, performance and more. We create the conditions for people to come together, connect with themselves, others and their local area and to practically and creatively contribute to ecological and social change.
