Grow Urban Festival presents: Interwoven: I, We and The Planet @ Rudolf Steiner House

Tue 9 Jun 2026 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM Rudolf Steiner House, NW1 6XT

How can we be better students of nature? What can we learn from the planet, each other and about ourselves? How can weave reflective practices into our daily lives and how can this inspire and support us to make changes in our local areas? Join us for a hands-on interactive workshop at Rudolf Steiner house exploring these questions together.

Interwoven: I, We and The Planet

This workshop introduces I, We, The Planet — Global Generation’s educational guiding framework, designed to empower young people and communities to respond creatively, practically, and locally to the climate emergency.

By connecting with the self (I), to others (We), and to the natural world (The Planet), the approach supports a sense of wonder, belonging, and responsibility as a foundation for a greener and just future.

Co-facilitated with young adults from Global Generation, the workshop combines stories, hands-on and reflective elements inviting participants to re-imagine what growth and change means. Guests will be invited to participate in a collaborative weaving activity as part of the workshop.

This event is part of the Grow Urban Festival 2026 Programme.

About Grow Urban Festival

The Grow Urban Festival returns 6–14 June 2026, as part of Great Big Green Week, with a clear intention: to explore how we care for land, cities, and each other — and what regeneration truly asks of us now.

Rooted in greening and food growing, the festival centres the practical, hands-in-the-soil work of cultivating nourishment in our cities. It celebrates growing as a joyful and unifying force — strengthening relationships between land, community, and the systems that sustain us.

It is also grounded in practical solutions: improving water access and rain harvesting as droughts increase, planting seasonally and intelligently in urban spaces, and cooling streets and schoolyards through thoughtful tree planting and shade creation. Across 6–14 June 2026, join the city-wide programme of talks, walks, meals, and hands-on practices.

About Global Generation:

Global Generation is a youth environmental education charity with garden sites located throughout London. We offer activities such as urban food growing, supporting bees, carpentry, cooking, storytelling, creative writing, performance and more. We create the conditions for people to come together, connect with themselves, others and their local area and to practically and creatively contribute to ecological and social change. We have a donation option where you can put money towards supporting the work we do including offering free spaces for community members. Follow our Instagram for regular updates on our activity.
