You're invited to participate in the Pathways Workshop Series
The Global Spaceport Alliance and Spaceport America are hosting a series of virtual workshops to provide practical workforce readiness instructions to Spaceport America Cup (June 19-24) students interested in careers in the aerospace sectors. The Pathways Workshop Series is generously sponsored by Jacobs.
The four workshops will focus on building the future space workforce. The series will be held on Saturdays to allow maximum student attendance. Attendance will be open to university-level students from across the globe. The session will also be recorded as a future resource.
Each workshop session will include a mix of subject matter experts and panel discussions to cover four topics, along with ample time for Q&A.

Session 1: Astropreneurship

This session on Astropreneurship will address the career opportunities of start-up space companies. With spaceports being regional hubs for space innovation, there is an obvious linkage for start-ups. This workshop will explore the range of space start-up opportunities and hear from investors who are incubating and accelerating space start-ups. Spaceports and students will also learn how to tap into the Global Network for Entrepreneurship for Space (GEN Space).

Session 2: Resume Building

Led by a space sector recruiter, this workshop will cover the essential 'Do' and 'Don'ts' of an effective resume for the space job market. It will also cover what is expected from your social media profile and how to use your social presence best. Included will be an opportunity for interview role-playing. Real examples of resumes/social profiles will show what works and what doesn't.

Session 3: Future Careers in Aerospace

The career opportunities in the space sector have dramatically changed in the past five years and will continue to change in the decade ahead. In this session, space sector leaders will provide an overview of emerging space capabilities requiring a diverse, talented workforce with technical and non-technical expertise. This will be an excellent opportunity for students to ask hard questions.

Session 4: How to Build Relationships with Your Local Spaceport

In this workshop. GSA member spaceport operators will discuss the value and methods for how regional universities and their students can engage with spaceports in their regions. The SA Cup Is a prime example of spaceport-student collaboration. Other opportunities exist as well. The spaceport representatives will share how they engage with universities and how such joint efforts can be replicated more broadly.
