Midlands Climate Expo & Sustainability Conference 2025

The Midlands' premier sustainability event returns for its fourth year!

Building on last year's success, the Climate Expo offers an expanded platform for organisations to network, learn, collaborate, and share achievements in pursuit of net zero, sustainable development, and climate innovation.

Here's what awaits you:

• Prestigious speaker hall: Hear from our keynote speaker Mary Portas, plus other leading figures across industry and the environmental sector for captivating panel debates and presentations.
• Engaging workshops: Gain practical knowledge and insights through interactive sessions led by experts.
• Extensive exhibition: Connect with a wide range of organisations offering a comprehensive range of services and support for your sustainability and climate action efforts.

Attendance is free, but spaces are limited!  With 1000 delegates expected, we strongly advise securing your tickets (and exhibitor stands, if applicable) as soon as possible.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

The event has been developed to suit a range of different sectors, we welcome industry, public sector and third sector professionals from all different backgrounds, as every role has a part to play in helping us mitigate and adapt to climate change.

REFRESHMENTS

Hot & cold drinks, sandwiches and light snacks will be available to purchase on site, however for the buffet lunch, you must pre-book your lunch when buying your delegate ticket. Please note that lunches are non refundable 30 days prior to the event.

REGISTRATION

On the day of the expo, the registration desk will open from 9.30am. For those attending workshops / speaker hall sessions, please allow 20 mins to register and reach the workshop/speaker areas, to avoid any delays.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the printing and admin costs incurred, we are introducing a no show fee, for those that book but fail to attend without cancellation. This is a nonprofit event and funds are used to support local projects, therefore anyone that does not notify us of a ticket cancellation 48 hours in advance of the event, will incur a £20 charge.  

GETTING HERE

Electric Shuttle Bus 

New for 2025, we will be providing an Electric Shuttle Bus from Uttoxeter Train Station to the venue at the following times:

- 9:15am Uttoxeter Train Station to Alton Towers 

- 4:15pm Alton Towers to Uttoxeter Train Station

By Road 

The Alton Towers Resort is located between the M1 and the M6 and is well signposted from both motorways. Depending on your direction, the nearest motorway exits are: M1 Northbound – Junction 23a, M1 Southbound – Junction 28, M6 Northbound – Junction 15, M6 Southbound – Junction 16

Please drive with care when you’re in the area, as there are many walkers, cyclists and horse riders, and the roads can be very narrow in places. Some Sat Nav systems may take you down a local farm track (especially if you’re coming from the B5417). Please follow the road signs for the last few miles.

NB Car parking is complimentary for delegates so long as you park at the Alton Towers Hotel or Splash Landings Hotel or in Overflow Car Park J 

By Rail

Guests planning to travel by train can visit National Rail to find their nearest train station and plan their journey - https://www.nationalrail.co.uk

Uttoxeter Train Station:  Uttoxeter station is the nearest train station to Alton Towers, just 10 miles from the resort. Uttoxeter station is just a 20 minute drive away from the resort or 30 minutes by bus (see below). https://www.eastmidlandsrailway.co.uk - We will be providing an Electric Shuttle Bus service for attendees, please see above. 

By Bus

D&G Bus operate the X41 which runs between Stafford - Uttoxeter - Alton Towers Resort, and the 32A which operates between Hanley - Cheadle - Alton Towers Resort.  View Timetables
