Historic Gloucester in Lego!

Do you like history? Do you like Lego? Come and see our wonderful historic Lego models on display at the Folk of Gloucester between Monday the 25th and Sunday the 31st of July.

There are three huge models to view, showing historic parts of Gloucester which have long since been lost to time.

See Westgate Street in its heaving medieval heyday, see the Roman forum of Gloucester as it looks roughly 1,800 years ago, and marvel at the massive bridge buried beneath Gloucester’s roads.

As well as the displays, there will be some Lego blocks available for children (and adults) to have a go at building their own medieval building, Roman column or space alien. There’s also a competition which could see you winning an amazing Lego prize.

Oh – and there’ll be lots of information about the history of Gloucester! (what’s not to like) All the models are based on actual historic and archaeological evidence!

The event is free, but tickets are needed so that things don’t get too crowded. Each session lasts 30 minutes with a maximum of 20 people per session, this will give ample opportunity to check out the Lego and ask any questions you like.

Please note that every person attending no matter how old will need their own FREE ticket.

Access is via the front of the Folk of Gloucester, 99-103 Westgate Street, GL1 2PG. There is a passage at the side of the building leading to the exhibition at the back. Wheelchair access is available.

The café at the Folk of Gloucester will be open if you turn up early or need to sit down afterwards.

Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

This Event is free to enter and kindly supported by The City Council’s Cathedral Quarter project, with funding from the Welcome Back Fund
