A special two-and-a-half-hour moonlit experience nestled in the Tropical Dome amongst the tropical plants.

For this special Full Moon evening, we’ll begin by coming together over cacao, with an opportunity to pause, set an intention, reflect and practise gratitude before settling into the sound journey.

Then following a sort guided meditation, the Gongs, Himalayan bowls and other sound instruments will play in a continuous 2 hour sound journey,
blended with field recordings captured deep in the rainforests and tropics during my recent travels through Borneo, Thailand, the Philippines and Kerala, to create a truly immersive nature and sound experience.

Imagine rainforests, tropical birds, cicadas, frogs, waterfalls, rain and ocean sounds woven into the live soundscape, blended and panned live with an Ableton Push 2 midi controller as the recordings become another instrument in the journey, bringing the sounds of the tropics into the Dome.

Surrounded by tropical plants, beneath the glass of the Dome and the light of the Full Moon, you can simply settle down, get warm and comfortable and allow the journey to unfold around you.

What to expect
We’ll begin with cacao and a little space for intention, reflection and gratitude, before taking some time to settle and slow down as we move into the guided meditation and sound journey itself.

The three gongs each have their own character, vibrations and range of frequencies, alongside the deep, hypnotic tones of Himalayan singing bowls and the dreamier sounds of Himalayan Brainwave Bowls, with other instruments including ocean drum, Koshi chimes, rain pillar and chakapa.

What should I do during the sound journey?

There’s nothing you need to do during the sound journey and you don’t need any previous meditation experience.

Just lie back, get comfortable and listen.

Every sound journey is different, and everyone experiences it differently.

Some people simply become deeply relaxed or drift towards sleep, while others describe imagery, colours, memories, landscapes or a sense of journeying as they listen.

Come warm & toasty
As this is an evening event in the Tropical Dome, being really comfortable and warm will make a big difference.

You’ll be lying still for much of the evening, so please bring more warmth and padding than you think you’ll need, particularly underneath you.

Bring a duvet or sleeping bag, plenty of padding underneath you, warm layers and thick socks, cushions or pillows, an eye mask or weighted eye pillow if you use one, and water.

A limited number of mats, cushions and blankets will be available to borrow, but for this one I’d really encourage you to bring your own toasty nest so you can settle in properly for the journey.

Places are limited to just 10 people, keeping you close to the instruments and preserving the intimate atmosphere of the Dome

Attendees may wish to bring their own:

  • Warm layers, and thick socks
  • Weighted Eye pillow* or mask
  • Blanket*
  • Cushion*
  • Yoga Mat*
  • Ideally thick duvets and added padding to lie on.
  • Water to keep hydrated

* a limited number will to available to borrow

The Venue: Hilton Court Gardens, Roch, Pembrokeshire

This is a pretty special location with gorgeous private landscaped gardens containing a lake, woodland, quirky wooden cabins and huts and a fantastic botanic glass tropical dome.

Hilton Court was a favourite spot for many a visitor, family and local when it was open to the public, however, other than a limited number of camping pitches, we have the gardens to ourselves which will minimise distractions and help you to really switch off
