Whether you’re brand new to sewing or haven’t touched a machine in years, this hands-on workshop is the perfect place to begin. Over 2.5 hours, you’ll learn the essential functions of a standard sewing machine - how to thread it, wind a bobbin, adjust tension, change stitches, and troubleshoot common issues, so you can sew with confidence at home.

With guided instruction and plenty of time to practice, you’ll get comfortable operating the machine step-by-step. By the end, you’ll complete a simple sewing exercise to put your new skills into action and leave with knowledge that makes sewing feel fun, approachable, and stress-free.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Parts and purpose of your sewing machine
  • How to thread the machine and wind the bobbin
  • Stitch options, length, width, and tension settings
  • Tips for safe sewing and smooth stitching
  • How to start and stop seams, backstitch, and sew accurately
  • Basic troubleshooting (tangled thread, broken needles, uneven stitches)

Who It’s For:
Absolute beginners, rusty returners, or anyone who wants a confidence boost before tackling sewing projects.
