Beginning Corsetry 2-day Workshop

Discover the foundations of corsetry in this immersive two-day workshop. Perfect for confident beginners and dressmakers looking to expand their skills, you'll explore the history, structure and techniques behind corset making while creating your own custom-fitted waist cincher - an underbust corset with eyelts and lacing.

Guided through each stage of the process, you'll learn about pattern preparation, fabric selection, boning, busks, eyelets and construction techniques unique to corsetry. By the end of the workshop, you'll have a finished waist cincher to take home, along with a solid understanding of the principles and craftsmanship that underpin this enduring garment.

Ideal for those with basic sewing experience who are keen to develop new skills and delve into the art of structured garment making.

You will need: half a metre of fabric for your waist cincher. All other materials such as boning, lining and eyelets are included.
