Training from the Back of the Room - September 2026

This training will teach you a multitude of engaging training tools to teach any topic. 

All of the activities are "content independent" - you will be able to simply substitute the content that you want to teach.

Take Your Teaching Skills to the Next Level

You'll discover how the human brain really learns, which is different from traditional assumptions about learning. Explore the most current "cognitive neuroscience" about effective instruction - how the brain takes in, stores, retrieves and uses knowledge. What materials are included?

1.  A copy of Sharon Bowman's best-selling book Training from the BACK of the Room!: 65 Ways to Step Aside and Let Them Learn.

2. A copy of a 55-page workbook that is only available with this program – a wonderful resource for use during and after the workshop.

4. A certificate of completion that is not only suitable for framing, but can also be used as proof of training, which is a prerequisite to apply for the Trainer Certification.

AGILE and SCRUM

If you are an Agile coach or Scrum trainer, you will be especially pleased to discover how to combine Agile/Scrum concepts with collaborative learner-engagement. These Accelerated Learning principles go hand-in-hand with team-based Agile and Scrum processes and principles.

NOTE: This training does not certify you to teach  "Training from the Back of the Room" to others. In order to teach this workshop to others, you must attend an additional day of training that is designated as a certification workshop.
