Noticing Change: Writing about Impact
Noticing Change: Writing about Impact
How do we write about change in ways that feel meaningful and demonstrate impact rather than simply listing activities?
We are often asked to demonstrate impact, but it can be difficult to find ways of writing about change that reflect the complexity of what is actually happening in practice.
This short interactive workshop invites you to explore writing as a way of noticing and narrating change within your learning communities. Through a series of short prompts, you will actively write and reflect during the session, experimenting with ways of capturing patterns, shifts in practice, and moments that signal deeper impact.
You do not need to come with prepared examples or finished reflections. The session is designed as a space to think and write in the moment.
This isn't a session on how to complete a Statement of Impact. Instead, it offers an open and safe space to think, write, and reflect on how change becomes visible in everyday practice. This in turn should help give you some new tools for approaching your Statement of Impact or evaluation of your work.
The session will be led by Terri Newman, a member of the Goldsmiths Artsmark delivery team. Find out more about Terri on the Artsmark website.
