benevolent
___
Even good girls make mistakes.
Set in 1917, benevolent follows four inmates consigned to the Inwood Benevolent Home, a draconian reformatory for fallen and friendless girls. They forge unlikely connections as they pass their days on laundry duty, and, when one of their group finds herself in trouble, the others must decide how much they're willing to risk to help her.
Written by Sophie McIntosh, directed by Nina Goodheart, and produced by Good Apples Collective, benevolent is an Equity Approved Showcase and runs 100 minutes with no intermission.
Understudy Morgan Perry will be performing as "Emma" on the performances scheduled for August 29th at 7:30 p.m.
