'Pig'nic Experience
Ready for a truly unforgettable pig experience? Grab your wellies (or sturdy boots) and step into the heart of our sanctuary, home to over 300 rescued farm animals - including our wonderful pigs!
Our ‘Pig’nic Experience offers a unique opportunity to meet, interact with, and learn all about our friendly rescued pigs. You'll discover their individual personalities, hear their rescue stories, and even take part in creating enrichment activities to keep them happy and engaged. Then, round off your visit by enjoying your packed lunch (not provided) beside their paddock while they tuck into a treat of their own!
Bring your lunch, your love for animals, and get ready for a pigtastic day filled with fun, learning, and plenty of piggy cuddles!
What's included:
- We’ll begin your pig experience in our cosy Visitor & Education Room, where you'll receive a warm welcome and an introduction to our charity, its mission, and the incredible work we do to give farm animals a second chance at life.
- First, you’ll settle in for a ‘pig’nic lunch at our picnic tables, right beside the pig paddocks. Relax and enjoy your meal while watching the pigs tuck into a special snack of their own. (Please note: picnic lunch is not provided.)
- After lunch, you’ll get to spend some time with our wonderful rescued pigs and get to know their unique personalities and heart-warming rescue stories. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to interact with them - whether it’s watching them root around in the mud, enjoying their sanctuary home, or giving them some well-deserved fuss and attention (which they absolutely love!).
- Then, it’s time to get creative! You'll learn about pig enrichment and have a go at making fun sensory toys designed to keep our pigs happy and engaged. Watch as they investigate and enjoy the treats you’ve prepared!
- To round off your visit, why not pop into our mini gift shop? Browse our selection of official Goodheart merchandise, from clothing and homeware to adoption packs - so you can take home a little piece of your pig experience and continue supporting our mission.
