Winter Tour
Multiple dates and times
Goodheart Animal Sanctuary, DY14 0BE
Description
Grab your wellies (or some sturdy boots) and join us at our sanctuary, home to over 300 rescued farmed animals including pigs, sheep, chickens, goats, cows and more!
Enjoy a guided tour of our winter-accessible areas of our beautiful 92-acre site, where you’ll learn all about our habitat development projects and get the chance to meet and interact with our friendly residents and hear their inspiring rescue stories.
Our winter tour will last approximately 1 hour 30 minutes and is suitable for people of all ages. We will explore the more accessible areas of our site, sticking to paths and areas of hardstanding to accommodate for winter weather conditions.
What’s included:
- We’ll start the winter tour in our Visitor & Education room, where you’ll learn about our charity and its aims.
- Next, we will head out to explore parts of the site and meet our residents including sheep, horses, alpacas and goats.
- Then we will take a walk up to our Pig Barn, a cosy space where you’ll be able to meet our rescued pigs and learn all about their unique personalities and rescue stories. There will be opportunities to interact with our pigs, giving them some fuss and attention which they love!
- Finally, you can pay a visit to our mini gift shop where you can get your hands on some official Goodheart merchandise, including clothing, homeware and even adopting your favourite animal!
Other things to note:
- Please bring appropriate footwear (e.g. wellies or walking boots) as we will be walking over uneven terrain. Please also prepare for all weather conditions, by bringing waterproofs where appropriate.
- Only the number of people listed on your tickets are allowed to attend. If you bring additional guests who have not been pre-booked, they will be turned away.
- Dogs are not permitted on any of our tours or experiences.
