PRE SEASON FRIENDLY | VIKINGS VS HORNETS

The Vikings will continue their 2026 preparations with a pre-season friendly against Rochdale Hornets on Sunday 11th January at the Victoria Pleasure Grounds (2pm).

The fixture will provide supporters with their first opportunity to see the Vikings in action in 2026, as head coach Scott Taylor anticipates using his full first-team squad.

New signings Jack Miller, Keenan Tomlinson and Cooper Howlett are amongst the new faces expected to feature, giving fans an early look at the latest additions ahead of the new campaign.

Visitors Rochdale Hornets, led by experienced head coach Gary Thornton, could also hand first run-outs to new signings Jamie Dallimore, Jordan Paga, and former New Zealand international Junior Sa’u, amongst others, setting up an interesting warm-up fixture.

The usual match day activities will be available on the day, including a cash bar and food service.

Supporters are reminded that the VPG is still in the final stages of its redevelopment and therefore the facilities are still limited.  

No on site parking is available, but supporters will be able to utilise Boothferry Primary School as well as the nearby supermarket car parks and public car parks, all within a short walking distance of the ground.

Please note that pre-season friendlies are not included in the 2026 Season Ticket package.
