It's back! But as a re-born event for all you XC Endurance lovers.
The TORQ 3-6-9 will take place on the first Bank Holiday Sunday in May
and is headline sponsored by long term Gorrick sponsor and partner TORQ
Fitness, the sports nutrition experts. With a raft of co-sponsors and
supporters, the TORQ 3-6-9 one day event offers a great choice of
categories* with up to 9 hours riding for Solos, Pairs & Teams and
includes a Single Speed category.
Yes, it's at Minley, so you can expect a superb 6.5 mile XC endurance course with all the good bits in, that's been well-prepared by our experienced team.
There'll be full event facilities including a TORQ trade stand Arena, top quality catering open all day and an event photographer.
It wouldn't be a TORQ Gorrick event without the great TORQ prizes and
premium Four4th Lights trophies given out at the podium gatherings, and everyone
loves dropping their number board into the killer prize draw bin,
which gives all riders a chance of a great spot prize too.
Although there won't be camping at the venue, if you are travelling a fair distance then Little Bramshot Farm Camping (contact 01252 810400) is adjacent to the venue.
Start Times will be:
9.50am all 3 hour riders - presentations 1.30pm
10am all 9 hour riders - presentations 7.30pm
1pm all 6 hour riders - presentations 7.30pm
So get Sunday 5 May in your diaries now and get planning. Do you go for a 3hr sprint, team up with a buddy for 6 hrs or plan a team to tackle the 9 hrs head on - it's your call...
The first 50 riders to enter will also get a free event t shirt, so make sure you add your size when you enter. (Now all taken)
As with previous TORQ events,
Pairs and Teams can be entered with just a lead rider, and the other
riders don't need to be finally confirmed until the day of the event.
Your category is defined by your age on 5 May 2024.
*In line with British Cycling's current policy: transgender women, transgender men, non-binary individuals and those whose sex was assigned
male at birth will be eligible to compete in the Open 16+ category only, and should ensure that they continue to adhere to the requirements
of UK Anti-Doping. Those whose sex was assigned female at birth are also able to compete in the Open category if they so wish. The Female
categories will remain in place for those whose sex was assigned female at birth and transgender men who are yet to begin hormone therapy.
