All riders who 'Enter all 3 Rounds' will be entered into a prize draw which will be drawn at Round 1.

Round 1 - SUNDAY 1 December 2024

Round 2 - SUNDAY 5 January 2025

Round 3 - SUNDAY 16 February 2025

As the premier XC Endurance events in the South, the hugely popular Brass Monkeys Series is held at outstanding venues which are highly suitable for XC endurance racing on 5-6 mile laps. Each course is carefully planned and prepared by a very experienced team, and you'll ride through heath and pine woodland with flowing and testing singletrack mixed in with swooping trails and stone fire roads.  You just choose how long you want to ride for, select your age category and then complete as many laps as you can before the time cut off. 

In line with British Cycling's current policy: transgender women, transgender men, non-binary individuals and those whose sex was assigned male at birth will be eligible to compete in the Open  categories only, and should ensure that they continue to adhere to the requirements of UK Anti-Doping. Those whose sex was assigned female at birth are also able to compete in the Open categories if they so wish. The Female categories will remain in place for those whose sex was assigned female at birth and transgender men who are yet to begin hormone therapy.

Categorys are defined by your age on Sunday 16 February 2025 and will be:

2hr Open Junior 14-17, Open 18-39, Open 40+, Female 14-39, Female 40+,

3hr Open 18-49, Open 50+

4hr Open 18-39, Open 40+, Female 18+, Open Single Speed 18+

These friendly events have full facilities. Each event is a stand alone race with trophies, but it's also a round of a the Series, and you need to ride and get points in every round to be in contention. There's podium trophy presentations very soon after the end of each category finish, plus Series trophies and prizes at the last round. Thanks to our generous sponsors a variety of spot prizes will also given out during the Series.

The event will open at 8am for the collection of number boards & course pre-riding and

the START TIMES are:

10am (finishing 12pm) All 2hr riders.  Podium: about 12.10pm.
10.10am (finishing 2.10pm) All 4hr riders.  Podium about 2.20pm.
10.15am (finishing 1.15pm) All 3hr riders.  Podium about 1.25pm.
