Four4th Lights Brass Monkey

As we weren't able to run our usual Winter Series, we're getting back to normal by running a one off Brass Monkey event on Sunday 12 September.

Our popular Brass Monkey Winter XC Endurance Series features some outstanding venues specially chosen for their suitability for enduro racing on 5 mile laps and we've chosen one of the best for this event. Expect a carefully planned and prepared by a very experienced team through heath and pine woodland with flowing and testing singletrack mixed in with swooping trails and stone fire roads.

As it will be late Summer with longer days, as well as 2 hour and 4 hour categories for Solos, there's 6 hour categories for Solos and Pairs too. There’s also a 4 hour option for Single Speed riders and a 2 hour option for Fat Bike riders.   The afternoon 2 hour categories are ideal for those new to XC endurance events and those who prefer a less busy course.

Your age is defined by your age on 31/12/2021.
Just decide how long you want to ride for and then complete as many laps as you can before your time is up.
We hope that by this event, the regulations will allow for podium presentations soon after the end of each category finish.

The event will open at 8am for the collection of number boards & course pre-riding and the PROVISIONAL START TIMES for the categories are:

10am (finishing 12pm)  MORNING 2hr riders (i.e. Male 18-39 / Male 40-49 / Male 50+). Podium: about 12.10pm.
10.10am (finishing 2.10pm)  ALL 4hr riders including the Male & Female Single Speed. Podium about 2.20pm.
10.15am (finishing 4.15)  ALL 6hr Solo and Pair riders. Podium about 4.25pm.
2pm (finishing 4pm)  AFTERNOON 2hr riders (i.e. Male Junior / Female 14-39 / Female 40+ / Male 60+ / Male & Female Fat Bike). Podium about 4.25pm.

We've held the entry prices from 2019, entry is online only.  Please note that at this time the Club is unable to refund your entry if you later find that you cannot attend.
