Devotional Practices to Mary Magdalene. An hour of sacred chant, prayer and meditation in the wonderful setting of St Margaret's chapel aka The Magdalene Chapel, Glastonbury. We will sing three different Mary Magdalene chants together - one plainsong, one traditional tune from the early Thomas Christian tradition in India, and one chant using the syllables of her Coptic name 'Mariham'. There will also be a guided meditation, and readings from The Gospel of Mary. This will be a small friendly session with no singing expertise expected. Everyone welcome of any or no faith. You're welcome to bring your own prayers, chants, musical instruments to co-create this celebration together. Numbers limited, so booking ahead is strongly recommended. Tickets are £5 to cover costs, but send me a message if you can't afford that.
