Flock 2026: "Murmuration" - Informal Showing

Join us for a work-in-process showing and reception for Grackle Dance Collective's first official production, Murmuration!

Grackle Dance Collective (Jennifer Mabus and collaborators) is in the midst of developing, Murmuration- the inaugural iteration of the Flock series, a collaboration-driven annual program bringing together diverse local dance artists to devise thoughtful, innovative, and multidisciplinary dance works.

Murmuration brings together 6 Dallas-based dance artists to devise an experimental dance theatre work rooted in community stories- inspired by the unrecognized strength and power of the native Texas grackle bird. In just 6 weeks, this new group of collaborators utilizes text, movement, and tactile sound to craft an immersive, interactive performance. In reflecting the untold stories of neighbors and loved ones, Murmuration shines light on the necessity for both radical empathy and collective resistance within our communities.
