Grackle Dance Collective - OPEN CLASSES

Join Artistic Director, Jennifer Mabus, for weekly contemporary modern classes - providing technique, choreography, and improvisation training for intermediate/advanced dancers.

Mabus’ technique class is driven by her love of dance and a belief in the potential of all artists in the room. Get grounded in the wisdom of modern dance traditions and expand beyond to feed your contemporary creative curiosities!

The class will begin with floor, standing, and improvisational movement material that will research the actions of the center and spine in relationship to the limbs. Expand upon this research with traveling phrases that increase the your physicality and technical abilities. Class concludes with a choreographic phrase that allows the dancers to make aesthetic and expressive choices in alignment with their artistry.
