Food Processing + Preserving workshops
*Please note this is the first of a series of 4 workshops, please sign up if you are able to attend all the workshops.
Workshops will give a step-by-step practical guide to processing and preserving raw ingredients with delicious recipes such as lacto-fermented sauerkraut, kimchi, herbal vinegars and pickles. Participants will be invited to take what they make home.
Facilitated by Aimée Georgiou Lormand. Aimée is an experienced gardener, food grower and Medical Herbalist. Work and training including: completing a Level 2 Horticulture City and Guilds course and a food growing apprenticeship at OrganicLea food growing cooperative. Completing a Medical Herbalism degree through Heartwood Education, setting up the Herbal Unity project providing holistic healthcare for people experiencing the hostil immigration system in Glasgow, and facilitating foraging walks with a diverse range of community groups as part of The Hinterlands Canal project in Sheffield with the Bare Project theatre company.
